WELCOME TO ELC BRISTOL
A family-run school, offering intensive General English and examination preparation courses for students from all over the world.
Bristol is a lively university city and the cultural centre of the West of England,
I really hope you like this web site - it was designed by our students! Hopefully, it will answer all your questions.

STUDENT HOUSES AND FLATS (SELF-CATERING)
Some students like to be independent. They like to cook for themselves and spend their time with other students and friends. All of our self-catering accommodation is within maximum 20 minutes' walk of the school.
This accommodation is available for our students throughout the year (minimum age: 18).
Wellington Park and Granby Hill are two of our most popular houses.
We have around 50 bedrooms in total in more than 15 different student houses and flats, and also some self-catering in family homes. All our houses are quite different and have different facilities and atmospheres.
Some of the student houses have more students (maximum 9) and are more sociable, communal environments. Other self-catering flats may have just 2 or 3 students and have a quieter, more tranquil feel.
Some houses have private showers or complete en suite bathrooms in every room. Many houses have wi-fi internet access and TVs in every bedroom. Some houses have living areas, others do not. All our houses have washing machines.
Prices vary between the houses, depending on the facilities offered, so always check with us first what is available for your planned period of study.
Self-catering student houses and flats are really popular at ELC Bristol (especially as many are such high quality!), so please book as early as possible and always check with us first to be sure you get the type of accommodation you prefer and that the houses are not all full.
Self-catering can be a great alternative to the traditional homestay experience, but please remember - book early and check availability first!

Making your own arrangements
Some students prefer to make arrangements themselves. In the past, our students have used the following websites and agencies. The websites and newspaper tend to offer slightly cheaper student accommodation in shared houses and flats, while the agencies tend to offer more expensive, higher quality places, often suitable for families or couples, often for minimum contracts of six months or more.
