Main language course starting dates 2010

Alternative Starting Dates: Language students can start any Monday except on June 7.
No total beginners.
Elementary level students must start their English language course on a main starting date.
Students cannot finish their English language course on March 26 or on September 24.
Minimum period of enrolment: 2 weeks

The English Language Centre Bristol is closed on public holidays. However, a free excursion/activity is usually arranged.
Cambridge Exam Preparation
If you want to take a Cambridge exam preparation course for the Cambridge First Certificate (FCE), the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) of the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE), the course dates are as follows:
FCE: January 4 - March 12 2010 (10 weeks)
CAE, CPE: January 4 - March 5 2010 (9 weeks*)
FCE, CAE, CPE: March 22 - June 11 2010 (12 weeks**)
FCE, CAE, CPE: September 20 - December 10 2010 (12 weeks)
* In March 2010, the CAE and the CPE oral exams are held in the week after the end of the course, so students should book an extra week's accommodation (if required)
** In June 2010, the Cambridge English exams are held in the week after the end of the course, so students should book an extra week's accommodation (if required).
Cambridge English exam preparation courses are not 'closed', which means that students can join the course at a later date if they are not able to attend for the full period. For more information about the Cambridge English Language exam courses, please click here.
TUITION FEES 2010
Registration Fee: £30.00
(£50.00 if your course is longer than 12 weeks)
The registration fee includes materials and a course book every 12 weeks

Combination Course:
Includes the same conditions as the General English Course + students have an additional 6 hours per week private tuition. Normal fees + £270.00 per week supplement. No Combination Courses in July and August.
Multi-Centre Course:
4 to 9 weeks - £225.00 per week + £30.00 registration fee + £75 travel between centres
10 to 24 weeks - £210.00 per week + £30.00 registration fee (free travel between centres)
ACCOMMODATION FEES 2010
Accommodation Placement Fee: £30.00
Homestay: £120.00 per week
Includes bed (single room), breakfast and evening meal
Student Houses & Flats (self-catering): £104.00 – £112.00 per week*
* Price varies according to property and facilities
£100.00 refundable deposit required for some properties, to be paid on arrival.

Goldney Hall University Residence (self-catering): £112.00 per week

Late Arrival:
Please try to arrive in your accommodation by 22.30. Arrivals after this time will incur a late-arrival supplement of £20.00.
