Podcasts offer a good source of listening material. There are many podcasts available on the Internet for you to listen to. Here are some suggestions of podcasts you can listen to on any computer. Click on the podcast image to open the podcast page and either download it and listen later or listen straight away. Click on the worksheet icon to see some general questions about the podcast. It is a good idea to listen with somebody else so that you can discuss your answers.

Desert Island Discs is a popular weekly radio programme in the UK. Every week, the interviewer (Kirsty Young) asks a well-known person to imagine they are going to live on a desert island, all alone. They can choose several songs or pieces of music they would like to take with them. They can also take a book and a luxury item. The well-known person always gives interesting reasons for their choices. The interview lasts for about 30 minutes. |
