Goldney Hall is a University Hall of Residence situated 10 - 15 minutes’ walk from school. There are 9 self-contained flats. Each flat has 8 single study-bedrooms, a large communal, fully equipped kitchen, a television, 2 shower rooms, one bathroom, 2 toilets. Each bedroom has a washbasin, single bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and a telephone. There is a launderette, reading room, music room, computer room with free internet access (24 hours a day) and a truly beautiful garden with tennis courts. You can also use your laptop in your room. This will cost £20 for the summer.

The accommodation which is arranged on a self-catering basis costs £100 per week, per room. Payment should be made at the English Language Centre, not at Goldney Hall. There are not many rules but please note the following minimum requirements:

  • Minimum age for students: 18.
  • Please do not make any noise after 11.00 pm which may disturb other residents.
  • A cleaner comes once a week to do basic cleaning but please keep communal parts of the flat clean for the other residents at all other times. Always do your own washing up.
  • All bed linen is provided, but you must bring your own towels, soap and toiletries.
  • No visitors are allowed after 11.00 pm.
  • You must vacate your room by 10.00 am on the Saturday after completing your course.

ARRIVAL PROCEDURE

  • The main door of the residence is in the car park at the side of the house. When you enrol, we give you the access code to the door. Please keep this code confidential.
  • Please report to the student couriers on arrival (J Block - ground floor). This block is on your right hand side when you come in through the entrance. The student couriers will give you the access code to your flat and the key to your room.
  • If possible, you should arrive before 10.00 pm. A £10 supplement is payable if you arrive after 10.00 pm (£15 if you arrive after midnight).

  • Please contact the school before you come to England to tell us what time you expect to arrive. We will notify Goldney Hall.
